Weston Turville Parish Council is calling for volunteers to help maintain and develop the village's Community Orchard, a green space that provides seasonal produce and a natural area for residents to enjoy.

The appeal for volunteers was launched in late September 2026, with the council keen to grow the team of residents who help care for the orchard throughout the year. Tasks typically include planting, pruning, general maintenance, and harvesting.

A tree planting event was held at the orchard on Sunday 11 October, giving residents a chance to get involved and see the space first hand. The orchard is part of a wider effort by the council to improve and maintain community green spaces across the parish.

Weston Turville Parish Council has made biodiversity and green space a key part of its ongoing work, having already introduced wildflower verges, indigenous hedges, and a wildflower area at the recreation ground as part of its climate action commitments.

Residents interested in volunteering at the orchard are encouraged to get in touch with the Parish Council by calling 01296 612838 or by visiting the office at the Village Hall on School Approach.
